Write Now: Beginnings and Endings
Each month, we put out a call for submissions on a particular prompt, topic, or theme. You can send us a story you’ve already published, or you can create something new. At the end of the month, we’ll compile the best submissions and feature them here.
While we didn’t get a ton of submissions for this prompt (hey, it’s our first shot), the articles we did receive all seemed to have one common thread: the end of an era for high school seniors. With only a few short months until graduation, we’d expect nothing less!

After four years of high school sports, some athletes realize they might never play again.
A change in the tide – Ashleigh Caraviello and Alexis Williams, Summerville High School|

The first of many lasts – Megan Parman, Klein Collins High School
An editorial piece exploring one senior’s anxiety (and excitement) about the inevitable changes and challenges of college.
New Year’s resolutions – Vaishali Shah, Parkway West High School
